Background
Work across engineering, supply chain and commercial leadership on four continents.
- Commercial leadership. Led growth across multiple European markets in textile testing and sustainability certification, from first hires and new entities to a diverse multi-country client base.
- Operations in Asia and Latin America. Built quality assurance operations from the ground up in China, expanded apparel sourcing into Central America, and led the planning and setup of new production facilities.
- Engineering foundation. Manufacturing engineering in medical device production, including continuous improvement, Six Sigma and equipment qualification.
- Senior relationships. Experience advising brands and retailers on sustainability certification and supply chain traceability, and translating technical standards into commercial language.
About
I'm Rob Swasey. I'm a manufacturing engineer with an MBA, and I've spent my career where operations, sustainability and sales meet. I've lived and worked in North America, Europe, China and Peru.
I'm a qualified Textile Exchange auditor and have worked extensively with GOTS and Textile Exchange standards, so I understand what certification demands in practice and how to make it commercially valuable.
I work in English and Spanish, with working knowledge of Portuguese, German and Mandarin.
